Welcome to the Airport High School "Teacher Grants" webpage! This page is intended to provide teachers with the information needed to write grants at AHS and provide helpful links to grant opportunties.


FAQ
1. How do I locate grant opportunties? Smaller (in the $250.00-$10,000.00 range) grant writing opportunities are available from a wide variety of sources including, but not limited to, many grocery store chains, corporations, utility companies, and more! Hyperlinks are available on the district homepage.

2. Who do I contact if I need data for a grant application? Email Mr. Jovanelly, AHS principal, at fjovanel@lex2.org if you need data!

3. The grant application asks for a federal ID number. Who can help me get this number? Pete Rizzuto, AHS bookkeeper, can help! Her email is pete@lex2.org.

4. What is the procedure to submit a grant? Prior to submitting your grant application,  please fill out the new (policy went into effect summer 2008) Lexington Two grant form. Sherry Standridge has a copy of this form in her office! Submit the grant application per the guidelines specified in the application packet, but make sure to make a copy for yourself and give a hard copy to Pete Rizzuto (AHS bookkeeper). Be sure and send a copy via the school courier to the Lexington Two Finance Department at DEC. Ms. Kelly Wells, the Lex. 2 grant writer, is happy to assist. Her email is KWells@lex2.org.

5. What if I receive a grant, but the award requires a signature on a contract? Only a representative from DEC can sign a contract. Mr. Jovanelly can help route the contract through the chain of command and secure the needed signature.
