Airport High School is proud to have a large number of National Board Certified Teachers serving our student population. The National Board Certfication process is a rigorous, yearlong endeavor that includes submitting a written portfolio consisting of four entries and answering six (30 minute) online test questions in a proctored environment. Teachers who meet or exceed the prescribed 275 point total earn National Board Certification. This certification status lasts ten years. As of October 2007, there were 5,080 National Board Certified Teachers in the state of South Carolina.
