Airport High School - Exemplary Writing Award

EXEMPLARY WRITING PROGRAM AWARD

Through the hard work and dedication of our students and faculty, Airport High School was awarded the Exemplary Writing Program award in May 2006. The award, a South Carolina Department of Education initiative, recognizes schools across our state which have an outstanding writing program that self- assess and plan for the needs of their students while sharing best practices with other schools in order to teach all students to be effective writers. The program examines an extensive cross-curricular reading and writing program in our school. Airport was noted for our exceptional reading programs as well as our variety of writing opportunities given to our students. Airport is proud to be among the schools that have earned this honor.
